RESILIENCY

Resiliency is a key component of health; the ability to maintain a steady state regardless of external stimulus.  In other words, wind blows you over, you stand back up in your original spot.  Rageful driver flips you off, you can recover your composure quickly.  Exposed to a virus, your immune system kicks in and brings you back to health.  Adaptability is the idea that you can change to accommodate an external stimulus.  In other words, wind blows you over, you stand back up in a less windy spot and install a windbreak.  Rageful driver flips you off, you start wearing headphones so you can't hear rageful raging.  You are exposed to a virus, you change your behavior to prevent a future risk to your health.  Resiliency and adaptability are results of holistic strength.  Here are some things you can do every day to support your resiliency and adaptability.

  • Go outside, get sun

  • Breathe deep, fresh air

  • Allow exhaled air to leave your body, this is a detox pathway

  • Focus on nutrient dense food

  • Don't put processed crap in your body

  • Drink lots of pure water

  • Prioritize sleep

  • Take intentional action to manage stress

  • Laugh

  • Connect with your humans, even if remote

  • Move, sweat, and breathe

Now is a time for grounding, nourishment, and sustaining wellnes.  Now is not a time to push your limits.  Honor your process.
