MUSCLE/STRENGTH GAINS FROM HOME

Yes, this is possible.  Even without much equipment.  Our remote programming and classes are set up to help our members maintain their strength, health, and resiliency even when not in the gym.  In the absence of heavy weights (for most of us) we have shifted the variables of our program by increasing time under tension.  This is done with tempo, increased reps per set, and isometric holds.  We have also increased the explosive (fast-twitch) muscle engagement through plyometrics (jumping), band work, and sprints.  When intensity (load) is reduced, we have the opportunity to work on our form, on proper muscle engagement, and on maintaining perfect positions for a longer period of time.  We also have the opportunity to increase our aerobic and work capacity.  Many of us do not prefer this type of training, but that does not mean it is ineffective.  The primal human did not have a gym with barbells.  She had boulders, logs, trees, trails, speed, and climbing.  Chop wood.  Carry water.  Build strength.
